You gotta eat eventually

Grey Sole with an herb butter
Potato and Turnip Gratin
Asparagus
For dessert, chocolate brownies

I only eat dinner so that I can eat dessert.

Grey Sole is delicious, light and fluffy with a great texture. Not too fishy. Not under flavored. The Three Bears might say it was just right in fishiness.
James did a good job cooking it, with more practice I am certain he can keep the filet intact.

It isn't that we haven't been eating, or that it hasn't been good. But in a way California did kind of ruin me. Nothing looks as sparkling and colorful and alive here. There hasn't been much at the markets with the seasons changing. It has been mostly roots veggies and bitter greens, we buy cheese and bread, fish and flowers sometimes. Last week we picked up some tatsoi flowers, but honestly they smelled stronger then they tasted. I didn't even know they were in the dish until I noticed they were missing. Attractive flowers, like wild flowers, little fuzzy yellow nubs on big broccoli stalks. Though not attractive enough to buy for decoration either. If they were in my garden I wouldn't mind. If i had a garden it would be even better. I wouldn't buy them again.
