Major Part I

I found blueberries again today from Red Jacket Orchards. They are even smaller and more sour then last week but they exist and so they came home with me. James found some shapely blueberries on Wednesday in Union Square. At times sour, but there were moments of sheer blueberry bliss. I took my time eating them, savoring each one like it was my last. I think I will bake or blend todays itsybitsy blueberries into something sweet. Any suggestions?

From the farmers market: peaches, nectarines, plums, blueberries, cucumbers, green pepper, milk, eggs, bluefish, flowers.

The CSA pick up this week was major:
a spectrum of heirlooms,
saturated summer squashes,
the sweetest of cantaloupes,
onions,
the perfect garlic head,
lettuce, kale,
peaches,
cucumbers, carrots,
and a fragrant bouquet of basil.

I drank some Chilean wine last night that has left me with the ability to function at a basic level today. Now I must begin eating all three of my humongous heirlooms.
