Everbear me fruit!

Clearly no one reads my blog.
I decided on strawberry for the window. It will be the most expensive strawberry ever, but also the sweetest.

I am little confused about the flower blossoms, do I pinch them off? I know there are some seasoned gardeners out there, any advice would be very helpful. If anyone is reading this of course.

There was asparagus everywhere at the Union Square Market today. Thick as tree trunks and expensive enough so you understand how lucky you are to be eating locally grown farm food. Of course we had to have some.

I spied zucchini and tomatoes too. They must be greenhouse grown?

mary's advice re: should you pinch them off, is 'you shouldnt try to grow them in your window'...which is advice too little too late, but also, yes you should pinch off the flowers IF you dont want any berries, cus that's what turns into the fruits, the flowers themselves. i for one think it will be a stunning success.

mary didn't write that. i couldn't decide cause i love both and i worried that the berries wouldn't survive. but what are you going to do with all that lavender? you can make scented pillows and soap and scented pillows and soap. so strawberries... don't pinch off the flowers but down the line the plants will send out runners. little baby strawberry plants for next year and later this season. you might want to pinch those off so that the plant only concentrates on its own growth. this has been the low season for the blog industry but don't worry it will get going again soon.
