We also picked up spring garlic, onions, and potatoes.
Last night Chef prepared a meal of skirt steak marinated in green garlic and cumin, served with the lightest and fluffiest mashed potatoes, and braised bok choy.
And as apples fade away to spring fruits, we decided to take some stalks of rhubarb home. I said, "Me want rhubarb pie. Me love pie."
He obliges for two reasons.
1) To redeem himself in light of the grapefruit fish dinner. ( And before you go any further- he seriously begged me to write that).
2) He is more of a pie monster then I am.
So Chef baked one good looking rhubarb pie. Topped with a mini strawberry grown in our window box.
I can't wait for dinner tonight. I really want a slice of pie.
I think I might go pull a Huck Finn and snag some of that there rhubarb pie while it cools.
